  1. I think this is my favorite post you have ever written. I felt like I was there with you and I am absolutely putting the Natchez Trace on my bucket list because of what you wrote. Oh and I am super glad you are safe!! P.S. Thanks for explaining what a Trace is…I also think I am both a noun and a verb lol.

  2. David this was a wonderful post. You and Sharon have such a special way of seeing what others miss. If you really would like to do this trip again…we would love for you to be our tour guides;o)) Hope camp hosting has gone well and you have an exciting time as you head north. Miss you two!!!

    • Not sure about being guides…. but how fun it would be to experience the trace with you both. We pull up stakes from our volunteer position in Virginia in a couple days and should be sipping the wines in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York soon.

This really is an awesome post about a route I have wanted to take since we started out in 2010 and so far haven’t managed to fit it in. Clearly I waited so I could use your superb scouting and reporting skills to guide me. Your blog is absolutely marvelous. The words are beautiful, the pictures are gorgeous, the layout fantastic. No envy here of course. Thanks so much for all the details here. I am more determined than ever to do this.
