How did I miss this? Your Colorado times sure were inspiring and now so is your devotion to helping your mother. We know for sure how illness can impact your travels but you’ll always be glad your heart led you to help. We send our best hopes and wishes to you and your mom.

Sorry to hear about your mother. So glad that you were able to get back there and take care of her. Perhaps we will meet sometime this year in one of the western states and go on a mushroom hunt of our own!

Great hearing from you! So happy you’ve been able to be in TN to help your Mom – what a gift! I doubt anyone was offended – as hurricanes come in lots of shapes and sizes and colors. Some are more personal and some spread far and wide. Important thing is you are taking care of yours right now! Hope our paths cross in 2018 when your Mom is well enough for you to roll down the road once more!

So glad you are able to help your Mom. What a blessing to have the flexibility to do that. Sending good thoughts and warm wishes your way.

  5. Thinking of you guys. This year we had 4 different family emergencies and due to financial and work restraints were not able to be with the people we loved for any of them. That was brutal for me. I think the fact that you dropped everything and rushed back to be with your Mom is a testament to who you are as people. The fact that it was even possible is a blessing. The road is waiting for you when you are done and all of us who love you aren’t going anywhere either. Don’t get me wrong it’s tough when your plans get turned upside down, but God willing at our age we have lots of time and those mountains and streams will be there. Love you both and respect tremendously what you are doing.

Sorry to hear about your mother. Hoping and praying for a a speedy recovery there.

The mobility offered by this lifestyle makes some things that normally would be difficult (or impossible) almost trivial by comparison. It’s not something I thought about beforehand, but in retrospect has been an enormous boon in many unexpected ways. Thank you for sharing!

What a gift you are giving and receiving….will kepp your Mom in our prayers, and if you make it to FL hopefully we can connect💕

  8. If you follow your heart, you will be where you are supposed to be:o)) Not always easy, not always where you want to be…but where you need to be!! Glad to hear from you two and also to hear that Mom must be improving. We can relate first hand how caring for a parent can change your course. However, you will never regret doing this. You will learn so much about yourselves and your ability to find solutions to a very difficult situations. Just remember to take care of each other as well!!! Think of you both so often and hope our paths cross soon:o)) Happy New Year and Best Wishes for a 2018 filled with health and happiness for all of you!!
